Providing hard services to a facility that is 80,000 square meters with a built-up areaof approximately 18,880 square meters. Established in April of 2000 with a mission to promote science, technology, and a culture of science in Kuwait, it was launched with three main attractions: The Aquarium, The Discovery Place, and The IMAX Theatre. Each of these attractions focus on delivering science in locally relevant and fun, yet educational, ways.The main building is overthree levels. The subsurface level consists of mainly mechanical and electrical plant rooms with interconnecting tunnels. Main features of the ground level are Gift Shop, Food Court, IMAX Theater, Central Court, Discovery Place, Aquarium and Arcades. The first level consists of Administration and Curatorial Offices, IMAX Theater, Aquarium with Desert, Coastal Edge, Sea Exhibits and support staff spaces. Mechanical and electrical equipment, skylights and fabric canopies occupy the roof area.

In Addition, providing electrical and HVAC maintenance services as well as maintaining general condition and appearance of seats in the IMAX Theaterwhich has the largest laser screen in the country, equipped with the latest IMAX projection technology, including a 12-channel immersive sound system. 3D educational and documentary films available in both Arabic and English are shown every day, so families can beeducated while being entertained.
